I am a 35 year old, photographer, wife and mother to 5 girls and have suffered from chronic back pain my entire life. Currently I have 2 herniated ruptured discs in my lower back and 5 cracked disks in my upper back. I have been doing your Yoga for a strong back now for almost 2 months and am for the first time in 10 years completely pain free!!

I'm a 54 year young yoga newbie (though I've danced competitively so I may not be as unfamiliar with yoga concepts as much as some newbies). I'm hoping to use yoga to build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness.

As a busy business owner, a shorter video like this is easier to fit regularly into my schedule. I'd suggest watching the entire video, and once you understand everything, skip the intro to 5:30 to go straight to the yoga, & it only 22 minutes! So no excuse for not squeezing this one in regularly! :) Plus the relaxing feel can be a welcome change on low energy or crazy days, while still doing something good for my herniated disc. If it makes me sore, it helps to ice my back 10 minutes immediately after it.

A few nit picky things...I wish she'd mirror (ie: when she says to cross left leg, she'd cross her right leg). I wish she'd incorporate ab/core strength, since that's an important aspect of disc herniation. I'm also trying to catch myself slumping or doing other things that aggravate my back.

I look forward to trying her other videos & will try to post reviews on those too. I can see where this might get easy fast, so will be looking for more exercises to build upon this.

It's very 70's and she bares a striking resemblance to a young Eliz. Taylor. If you are still up in the air about yoga and the benefits, if you are unsure if you can do yoga or if you will even like it...this video is perfect for you.

While there are a few moves & poses that do seem to work the back in a gentle way, overall disappointing because this seems to be only the second half of a full tape, as she says "OK, now that we've relaxed the back, we can move on to...." Only the relaxation piece isn't in there. The audio is extremely quiet & there's a good 5 1/2 minutes talking about back pain in the beginning that I found a bit exhausting. Overall, I expected more for my money however, it's an okay super quick yoga practice. Probably could have found the same thing on You Tube for free.
