''Unmitigated stress not only causes mental strain, insomnia, fatigue and exhaustion, it also plays a significant role in middle-age weight gain, increased belly fat and menopausal symptoms. Chronically elevated levels of stress hormones not only stimulate appetite but also encourage intra-abdominal fat storage that can lead to serious illness. How you cope with stress determines your appetite, body composition and overall fitness level. The intelligence of Stress Less, Weigh Less is it focuses on the root problem in our society, chronic stress, and gives us powerful yet practical tools to get our stress under control, leading us back to a healthy body, mind and spirit.'' --Dr. Karen Wolfe is an Australian physician, international speaker, author, coach and a leading pioneer in wellness and mind/body health. ''Providing the best guidance I have ever seen, Holly Mosier's book, Stress Less, Weigh Less is a user-friendly manual for a life of health, wellness and vitality. Holly's book follows the guidance of the Food and Drug Administration, but in a way that is relatable to the average person. While not a new wisdom, Holly is able to walk each of us from the point of understanding to intervention and participant on our own behalf. She shows us exactly how to master our fate and add years to our life. But not just years; quality of life is just, if not more, important as duration. Her book provides the method to achieve and maintain health, yet in a reasonable way that can and should be embraced by everyone. I believe Holly's book, Stress Less, Weigh Less should be a mandatory read for all of us. Holly gives examples that are beyond any known value to share and inspire. And those examples are what make Stress Less, Weigh Less such an essential book, especially in this day of skyrocketing stress, obesity, diabetes, anxiety and depression. Our life and our future are based upon the magic of choice. And Holly gives each of us the wisdom to decide to live and not to simply endure. If this was a drug, how much is one year of life worth without illness? Quality of life analysts say $20,000 but Holly accomplishes and delivers this for far less in the form of a book. There is not now and there will not ever be a pill to enable people to succeed in the way that Holly makes it possible. We owe a debt to Holly Mosier for showing us the path to health and survival that drugs could never take us to.'' --Alan O. Marcus, MD, FACP FACE, Retired Associate Clinical Professor USC Keck School of Medicine Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Director South Orange County Endocrinology Research Department, Former Global Vice President Director of Medical Affairs Medtronic Diabetes

She is a true leader in the health industry and an asset to families everywhere. Stress Less, Weigh Less is a must have book, not just to read, but to live by. I highly recommend it.'' --Heather W. Brien M.D., American Board of Surgery, Board Certified General Surgeon, Board Certified Vascular Surgeon
''The book is chock full of guidance -- keep a food journal, weigh yourself once a week, dining out tips, water intake recommendations, how to incorporate exercise into daily activities, and more. This is a solid, legitimate plan for weight loss if you follow Mosier's instructions. She is absolutely correct that when drowning in stress, many if not other areas of our health suffer greatly, and we lack the energy or motivation to make the commitment and put the time in to exercise and eat healthy. (As, for most of us, the more stress we're under, the more unhealthy we're compelled to eat.) Mosier's outlook and goals here are realistic, and doable. This plan could be a blueprint for a healthy life for the long term.'' --Chase Freedom Diet Reviews
''Healthy-lifestyle expert seeks to balance the mind and body in this solid debut. Despite regular workouts and attention to her diet, lawyer and yoga teacher Mosier wondered why her waistline was increasing as she grew older. So she researched why her daily 90-minute exercise program was largely unsuccessful, discovering that the cause was stress from too many activities and overeating. As a remedy, the author formulated a plan to eliminate stress and streamline her diet. She starts with 10-minute beginner, intermediate and advanced yoga sequences, and concludes with a 30-minute restorative yoga program that peels stress away in a section replete with photographs and easy-to-follow instructions. Parts 2 and 3 consist of revisions to how we eat and exercise. The author provides an Approximate Daily Consumption chart (for men and women) and a Glycemic Index chart to guide readers in their food choices. Mosier suggests daily exercise at varying intensities and recommends using a heart-rate monitor to exercise more efficiently. In the final section, she provides a month's worth of meal plans and workouts, complete with more than 50 simple recipes. The author gains attention and respect as she readily admits to bumps along the way, and she encourages readers to pick themselves up and begin again. Lifestyle change chronicled in motivational, non-coercive language.'' --Kirkus Book Reviews
