5.0 out of 5 stars No need to read the whole book at once July 22, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I confess it - I've only read two of the tips so far. But the first one was enough to tell me that this book is worth the read, especially given that it's free for kindle.

I got the book more out of curiosity than real need, but it's already clear to me that it has some great positives. It's well laid out, with an active TOC and links back to the TOC from each idea/chapter, so it's easy to navigate just to the tips you think will help you most. I jumped straight to the tip on dealing with procrastination, that being a huge issue for me, and it gave me a very workable way of hurdling the procrastination barrier. I was keen to put that into practice straight away, but stopped to read the next idea, which is for all those people who spend time agonising over "where are my keys?" "did I switch the iron off?" and so on. A lovely quote from that section: "Not surprisingly, you can't retrieve memories of today because your mind was actually living in tomorrow." I enjoyed the wry observation even though I didn't really get anything new from the chapter, having recently finished "Moonwalking with Einstein", which addresses memory issues in much more depth.

Don't give yourself extra stress trying to absorb the whole book at once. Just take one idea at a time, and begin with the ones you think you most need.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent July 26, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is one of the few free books I've downloaded that I wouldn't have been sorry to pay for; in fact, I hope the author will find a way to make some money from it.

It is very well-written and full of creative, positive suggestions for ways to create sanctuary and lower stress.

It lends itself well to reading a little bit at a time--I have it on my iPod touch and have been reading it at odd moments, waiting in line somewhere etc.

I'm really enjoying it and getting a lot from it.

4.0 out of 5 stars stress proof your life May 14, 2009
Format:Paperback
the book arrived at the end of a very busy, unusual and disjointed week and I was so relieved to see it that I read it cover to cover after hiding myself away from the madness surrounding me. I am now rereading it slowly and taking it in. Great book and if you learn 2 things from it you are on the way to destressing your life

Wow! Wish this was available much earlier on then I would not have been stressing over the smaller things in life. Life is too short to worry over trivialities. Really a good book.
