Review for Kindle version,
This review is from: Stretch Deck (Kindle Edition)
Although I've been into exercising and working out for years, I never really put much notice into stretching.
I got this along with The 5-Second Flat Belly Secret - Lose 2-3 Inches from Your Belly in Less Than 1 Month for Kindle in order to become more flexible and get a flatter waist area. I'm happy to say that after 5 weeks I'm way more flexible, my posture is a lot better, and my belly and waistline have become a lot more toned. This is a good buy.

Handy and Well Done,

Having begun with Bob Anderson's stretching book, I came to find it cumbersome so sought and found these user friendly cards. It's so much easier to vary a routine just changing your little card stack and the info is concise but thorough. The cards are on heavy stock so should stand repeated use.

Good Basic stretches with good instruction,

This review is from: The Stretch Deck: 50 Stretches (Cards)
I picked this up the the other day so I could explore some other stretching options. I like the basic illustrations on the rear of each card that demonstrate how the stretch is to be done. The front of the card contains information on how to do the stretch, how many times you should do it and a tip that might be who the stretch is good for, or a referral to another helpful stretch. You can pick several cards for each stretching session. The pamphlet that comes inside describes the benefits of stretching, how you should approach stretching and some pre-defined stretching groups of cards for specific lifestyles, i.e: office workers, golfers, etc. . .

Clear, concise instruction that help improve posture and a general sense of well being. I find these stretches actually help alleviate "desk pain" from sitting at my desk too long.

I've used the stretches in this deck for a number of years and find them excellent. For those who know a scalene from a scapula, the muscle worked in each stretch is identified, along with a descriptive name and the purpose of the stretch, e.g. "Bent-Knee Calf Stretch (Standing Soleus Stretch)--Stretches the calf and Achilles tendons."
The stretches (50 in all) are indexed and divided into four general categories: Neck Stretches Upper-Body Stretches Trunk and Lower-Back Stretches Leg Stretches (includes glutes, groin, and hips) There are also some brief suggested routines for general use and specific activities: general, golf, running, gardening, traveling, and office work. A full page body chart, both front and back with muscles identified, assists the user in choosing the most appropriate stretch. The instructions are clear and concise, and best of all the illustrations (clear line drawings) for every stretch are full page, rather larger than the actual card deck. The Stretch Deck gets full marks from me. Some folks might fuss that there is no way to create a routine which runs on the Kindle. My question to them is who turns the pages of your books for you? These are simple, easy stretches which effectively address the issues for which they were designed. It's not rocket science. Once you've "learned" the stretch you don't need to be looking at Kindle, or "cards," or a book. I go to my cards (and now Kindle) as a reference and teaching aid. My routine is jotted down on a scrap of paper or in my head. My Kindle goes where I go, and now that I have the Kindle version to take with me, my card deck will stay at home. I've recommended this little deck many times to massage clients as home "therapy" between massages. Everyone loves it!

I absolutely love this deck. It provides a really comprehensive guide to stretching pretty much any muscle group in your body, keeping you flexible and feeling really good. I naturally get very tight muscles, so I've found this to be an invaluable little tool to help me stay looser. It's organized in a very user-friendly way, with an overall body picture to show where in the deck to find stretches for specific muscles. Each stretch then has illustrations and step-by-step instructions on how to do it correctly, and tells what benefit it provides. Not enough people stretch regularly, and it's something that everyone should do to take care of their body, so I highly recommend this.

Handy and very useful,
This review is from: The Stretch Deck: 50 Stretches (Cards)
I bought this a couple of days ago. Its portable and many of the excercises can be performed simply even at your work desk. I have been doing the neck stretches and they seem to work very well. The illustrations in the back are nice and the directions for the stretches are easy to understand.
