Stretching,

I'm a 4th gup in Tang Soo Do and was looking for some help in the stretching area. This video did not come through. The instructor does an excellent job of walking you through lots of different stretches and the proper technique and then falls extremely short on the actual application part. His "daily stretching routine" was nothing more than what I learned from my P.E. coach in junior high.

I've already had the Stretching by Anderson book and I thought it would be the nice idea to follow up the instructor. However, the tape came out to be much less that I've expected, based on the book. The introductory to stretching is too long even for the beginners and the most frustrating part, there is not much examples to follow up even for the basic daily routine . Also I've expected it appearance to be done much more professional.

video is the essence of the book,

This video is very concise and shows that the stretches are simple and uncomplicated. It aids the use of the book, best of all worlds. I have recommended the book as a physician for some time, and have had little obedience. Due to its lack of patient complience, since I have added the video its more acceptable. It is really the basic tool for a spinal-musculo-skeletal preparation of patients for their rehab-response to the ministrations of their Manual medicine practioners. There is no magic treatment or pill or device it is co-operation and self care that really effectuates the pain-free functional body existence. You must do the most care of your problem! Who else knows it intimately, take charge forget medicine and insurence problems do self management and get the best caretaker!!You!

I am a physician and interested in preventative care. I think stretching by Anderson is full of good advice for us ordinary folk to maintain good flexibility. The exercises are simple and easy to do. Anderson is the expert on this poorly understood part of exercise. This is a must video for any one serious in staying in good shape. It is not a workout video. Anderson thoroughly explains each stretch. I will probably use most of the exercises he demonstrated. I was pleasantly suprised how much care he put into stretch and massage of the feet.
