Wont' work for hard core melasma
on June 17, 2013
I've been using this for 8 weeks exactly. Everyone's skin pigmentation is different, so results will vary. I have ethnic skin so melasma is a problem. This may work for minor spots, but it doesn't work for melasma. I've tried numerous products, so I really didn't expect this to work either. I've come to acknowledge the fact that there's nothing in the market that exists for melasma; however, when I saw the Stri-Vectin 2-pack at Costco marked down to $48, I thought I give it a try.
The only difference I've seen is my skin tone is a little more evened out. The acne marks lightened up faster than normal but still exists after 8 weeks. It took 4 weeks to notice the slight lightening of fresh acne marks. Don't waste your money with this product or any product for that matter if you have melasma condition, it probably will not work... Just invest in a good makeup or concealer to cover it up until they come out with something that really works. Laser is an option but could even worsen the problem, which is why I decided against it. If you only have acne marks, try Mederma for scars or Epsom salt soaks to the face. It's cheaper and works faster. the Epsom salt soaks will help clear up existing acne as well.
