Editorial Reviews

Harry Manx and Kevin Breit are unique Canadian players with impressive resumes as in-demand recording artists and busy performers. This set includes unique covers of the Bobby Hebb classic, "Sunny," and John Lee Hooker's "Mr. Lucky," in addition to their own blues and roots music material. "A truly timeless take on sounds meant to move the spirit. They're coming from a higher place, and it's incredible how the two get there so effortlessly. There isn't anyone like them out now, and their fusion of the East and the West is a wonder to behold." Bill Bentley, Studio City Sun, LA.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ouch September 29, 2011
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I am a fan of Harry Manx and have enthusiastically purchased seven or so of his records. This is the first to disappoint. It is mediocre, has no stand out songs and a great many filler songs. If you are going to give Harry Manx a try, as you should, go to another disc such as "In God We Trust" or "Wise or Otherwise," wonderful, tuneful music with a nice, differentiating eastern twist.

4.0 out of 5 stars Competent, Pleasurable August 20, 2011
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I got what I expected, for sure: one hundred percent professional. Only those persons having some misplaced objection to relaxed music would look elsewhere for a product on which to drop the same number of pennies. I am not thrilled with the package design; Manx's move to the 'foreign' label has apparently cost him some control over that. But not to worry; that would be judging a book by it's something or other. (I am curious where Cat My Dog might have gone though.)
