Im biased in my review for this movie because i attended an all girls boarding school (the film takes place in one), and it brings back so many great memories. That being said, this is a great chick flick for teenage girls that aren't necessarily into girly movies. To summarize, the movie is about a group of girls at a boarding school in the 1960's who vow to help each other reach their goals of becoming a politician, scientist, magazine editor, therapist, and actress, while avoiding the typical route for a well bred female at the time (colonial mansion, marriage, kids, mercedes, etc...). Their plans are thwarted when the school threatens to go co-ed with a neighboring boys school. Crazy, funny, and stupid antics ensue as some of the girls sabotage the boys school at a dance. I wont say anymore about the plot other than that its a great representation of the time period, and the characters and plot are legitimately funny at times. Along with some good humorous moments, this movie also inspires a sense of "girl power" thats quite different from, and more intelligent than, the obnoxious, in your face tweener crap they put out now. I highly recommend this movie for girls from 12-20.
