Jam Band meets Techno,
By A Customer
This review is from: String Cheese Remix Project (Audio CD)
This album perfectly blends two contrasting, yet equally popular types of music. The Jam Band genre of String Cheese, reminiscent of the Dead, is something we would not normally associate with the recently popular Techno. However, DJ Harry does an incredible job spinning to these sounds. I would recommend this album, and more importantly, recommend more DJ's to spin Jam Band music, such as Widespread. On a related note, if you like this album, look on the Internet for such remixes as Pleasurehead doing renditions of Guns 'n' Roses and Van Halen.

Breaking The Norm...,

So I just picked up this cd and I'm very impressed. I'm not a SCI fan, but I have been waiting for this disc to come out for what seemed like months. I'm really into jambands and dance music, so I have tons of respect for a guy who wanted to bring it together. Basically the album is great house beats with SCI samples, all in a continuous mix. It is exactly what I thought it would sound like, it is a MUST for any fan of dance music and jambands, even if SCI isn't your thing. This guy obviously knows what he is doing and does this album justice, blurring the lines between jam music and electronic music.

Turning me on to a new genre of music,
By Armen A Thomasian (Rockville, MD United States) - See all my reviews

DJ Harry is ahead of his time with this remix. I have heard him spin many times live and his range of music is extremely diverse. He has the ability to pick out the quality sounds in whatever genre of music he can get his creative hands on. This album is no different, concentrating on the jam band groove. I dont consider myself a SCI fan, but DJ Harry has made me appreciate their sound and his vibe in an impressive mix that has lasting appeal. NIce work Harry!
