Preset light mode - does it remember after turning system off?,

A lot of these seem to suffer from a similar problem:
- the preset light mode takes a while to set up (up 8 button presses, wait, press again...) and is forgotten when the lights are turned oof. That means you have to fumble with the controller every time they are turned on again to put them back in your preset mode. Can the seller confirm if these also have the same problem?

Bought two packs and strung them around my dorm. The different settings are a lot of fun to play with. While putting them up, none of the LEDs stopped working, which sometimes happens with stringable LED christmas lights.
The light produced by these LEDs is a cool temperature; it's borderline blue. I was hoping for a warmer white, but I've found I still like this shade. The lights seems fragile; I don't know how they would fare outside. Perfect for indoors, though.
