What I love most about this book is the authors honesty - she is insightful, encouraging and best of all funny! She shares from her heart how her life experiences have taught her to cling to God for strength, direction, hope and joy. She is transparent in her struggles and questions - struggles we all share but often hide behind with our southern smiles. This book is an invitation to be real, an invitation to let God work with us right where we are, which at times is not a pretty place. Diane has the ability to inject humor in the most unpredictable places. I would say the joy of the Lord is her strength and couldn't we all use a little more joy!!! Treat yourself to this book!

Any woman who has pushed through life's struggles should pour a cup of tea/coffee, settle into a cozy chair and read this book - it's written in language that feels like talking to your best friend, who shared your hurts and now points on these pages to avenues to help you solve them. She doesn't necessarily give advice, but speaks of faith and Scripture that allows one to walk along a path to never give in, never give up, just give your worries to God. You will find yourself in many of these pages. Read "String of Pearls" and dwell on the message the author has conveyed. God is a loving God, creator and Savior of all mankind. He will never forsake us. Pattern yourself to walk closer to Jesus and you won't go wrong anymore. Men, if you want to better understand women, you should read "String of Pearls". B. Diane Bailey has written a book that is conversational, honest, and from her heart. She tells of her life's struggles, and how God has been there to see her through all of them. He is faithful. Diane has a heart for other women, especially those that have been hurt from life's experiences. This is Diane's first book, but other books will surely follow. She is a gifted writer, called by God to share her experiences through the written word. I highly recommend String of Pearls.
