The String Quartet Tribute to Chevelle grabs most of its content from Wonder What's Next, the post-grunge also-rans' breakthrough album. Modern rock radio fans will recognize the singles "The Red" and "Send the Pain Below." In this string-laden instrumental format, much of Chevelle's Tool-istic sound is lost. Some decent melodies are left over, making the set notable for Chevelle diehards. When you have the heaviness of Chevelle's music combined with the incredible melodies of a string quartet it can only transalate into the perfect formula to achieve greatness. I recommend this album to every Chevelle fan who has approved of their personal message to the rest of the world,"Promote the music, not us..."

All i can say is....(not including the other paragraph of writing...) ...well, it's so amazing, i can't even describe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just hearing the GENIOUSE wails of pete's exquizite vocals, his mezmorizing riffs on that guitar, joe's phonominal, sexalicouse, pulsing.....(cough) bass, and sam's entrancing drums converted into an extremely epic plethora of string harmonies makes me want to do a billion crazy things at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! half of them being at least mildly perverse!!!!! hehe... this cd is a MUST HAVE for any chevelle fan out there who knows how to apriciatew good music!!!!! i have creid, laughed, convulsed, air-violened, kicked someone in the face, leapt with joy, had a violent break down, and masterbated to this cd, over a billion-trilion times!!!!!!!!!!!!
