Gwen Stefani started her career as a backing singer in her brother Eric’s band, No Doubt, but eventually took over the lead vocal duties as everyone in the band realized her awesome voice, stage presence and songwriting abilities could take them to greater heights. Unsurprisingly, No Doubt went on to huge worldwide success and their breakthrough album, Tragic Kingdom went on to sell over 8 million albums and spawned the monster hit singles, "Don’t Speak", "Just A Girl" and "Spiderwebs". The band combined ska, rock and punk to create a highly energetic and infectiously catchy brew of fun radio friendly singles and more emotional ballads. In 2004, Gwen finally decided to make an album on her own and gathered a huge cast of collaborators including members of New Order, Outkast and super producers, Nellee Hooper, Dr Dre and The Neptunes.

It`s not Gwen Stefani or No Doubt, but it`s still good,

This is not a Gwen Stefani CD. I am a big No Doubt and Gwen Stefani fan and I liked this CD as well, it`s basically classical versions for Gwen Stefani`s songs and No Doubt`s songs. It`s totally different from the sound of No Doubt or Gwen Stefani but it`s good, it depends on your taste. I also recomend The String Quartet Tribute to No Doubt: The Singles 1992-2003 and String Quartet Tribute to No Doubt.
