4.0 out of 5 stars Classical is coming back
This is a good CD if you appreciate the violin part of Yellowcard. Which is actually the best part of the band, and is what makes them unique. Some of the melodies are off, but for the most part it sounds pretty good.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great music, but bad tribute
The only reason I am not giving this a 1 is because the musicians on this CD are very good and the music, on its own, is great. I gave it a low rating because the sounds hardly sound like the originals. They don't follow the melodies and chord patterns of the original songs at all. This review is from: The String Quartet Tribute To Yellowcard (Audio CD)
The only reason I am not giving this a 1 is because the musicians on this CD are very good and the music, on its own, is great. I gave it a low rating because the sounds hardly sound like the originals. They don't follow the melodies and chord patterns of the original songs at all. Some of the songs sound a little similar, but for the most part it sounds like they just kind of did their own thing with only a few of the same notes in the same key of whatever song they are supposedly doing a version of. If Yellowcard never wrote the original songs, I would tell you that this album is great, but I can't do that because Yellowcard did write these songs and this is only a "tribute" because people will buy it if they see the name Yellowcard on it. I'm sorry I wasted around 17 bucks on this album! It really is excellent music, but I can't listen to it because I expected them to follow the songs at least a little bit.

I have to tell any of the hardcore Yellowcard fans not to waste your money on this. I bought it because I have been a hardcore Yellowcard fan for quite a time. I like from midget tossing all the way up. But this is a waste.
