This is some of the finest chamber music you can buy. If you have a surround sound system put it on the Concert Hall setting and enjoy the sound. Mozart has created masterpiece after masterpiece and the performers bring them to us with great passion. Mozart's melodies are the best and they come through beautifully in this recording.

Pleyel, Boccherini, Mozart and even Haydn wrote String Trios and this one has to be one of the better of that period. It contains a lovely recapitulation and the counter-point leaves you guessing its direction. Really it could be a SQ with a little work. The Duos leave me baffled; how did Mozart come up with such robust pieces with only two instruments. I guess that is why he is one of the best in music history. Once again, Arthur Grumiaux performance and sound is impeccable. He is criminally underrated. This set is reasonably priced and would make an excellent addition to anyone's Mozart collection.

What more could you ask for on 2 CDs! Grumiaux was a titan; I never tire of his playing.

This is some of the most beautiful music by one of, if not the greatst musical genius of all time. Mozart's String Trios & Duos lives in the highest realm of beauty. To listen to this music is to be transported to the land of the eternal, the magnificent, the world of all possibilities. Mozart penetrated Heaven with this music. Its impossible to listen to this music without feeling awe and immense gratitude for his genius. Most highly recommended.
