This book helps you take the lead with becoming more intimate with your spouse.
Finding Forward
The DiLorenzo's are "real people", using examples from their own marriage, and much of the value of the book is in their authenticity.

If you've been married long enough to realize that your sex life and intimacy don't just remain in high gear without effort, then you need this book. Tony and Alisa take a sensitive topic and make it fun, inspiring and above all "real" for real couples.

Stripped Down really breaks down the key areas of intimacy and - if you're anything like my wife and I - you'll realize there are entire areas of your life where you've been neglecting the chance to share real intimacy with your spouse. And this is coming from a guy who has also written a book on marriage!

Do yourself a favor and pick up Stripped Down, read it with your spouse if you can, and enjoy the benefits of real intimacy in your marriage.

This is one of my favorite marriage books by one of my favorite couples. So many marriage books by couples come off sounding a little self-righteous or full of too much psycho-babble for my taste. Stripped down however is real and honest and full of hope.

Tony and Alisa share their story of wedding day bliss followed by incredible frustration and heartache - and practical steps they took to create true intimacy out of a mess.

They talk about sex and their sixty day sex challenge which still amazes me, given the state of their marriage. All together they show that marriage intimacy can begin in the bedroom or anywhere, but it will encompass a whole lot more than sex, including financial intimacy, recreational intimacy, emotional intimacy, spiritual intimacy and more.

They also talk about practical steps like learning to dress better for each other, getting in shape, and even making their bedroom a lovely sanctuary.

I'm glad this book is available on kindle now, but I recommend reading it with a journal or even getting the hard copy so you can make yourself answer the questions they pose.

I've read my share of marriage books, and many tend to fall into one of these categories:
1) Written by a counselor or psychologist, loaded with too many examples of how someone's marriage magically turned around after following the advice in their book,
2) Written on a level above many readers' heads,
3) Too long. The content is great, but good luck trying to get through the book with your spouse and actually apply it to your marriage.
4) Written by wonderful people who know their stuff, but leaving you feeling overwhelmed, like the people who wrote the book can't relate to your marriage or your situation.

This book is none of these. The DiLorenzo's have "been there" and Stripped Down was born out of their own journey through struggles and triumphs in their own marriage. Their story is fascinating. After being married for 11 years and finding their love-life lacking, they attempted to be physically intimate with each other for 60 days. The lessons they learned about intimacy in marriage reach far beyond the bedroom and are shared in Stripped Down. When you read this book, you'll understand how intimacy doesn't just take place in the bedroom, and how sharing intimacy with our spouse in all the areas of our lives, such as spiritual, financial, recreational, intellectual, etc, can lead to a fulfilling marriage and ultimately to greater physical intimacy with your spouse.

So why should you read Stripped Down? Because:
1) The content is great, as described above.
2) It's easy to read and gets right to the point. You could easily go through this book with your spouse or in a small group and not feel overwhelmed.

I've been listening to Tony and Alisa's podcast for months now and jumped at the chance to buy their book. I love that it's written by a couple that's been to the edge and back and is now enjoying a fulfilling, intimate marriage. They are open and honest about their marriage and don't pretend to be perfect.

This book is very similar to His Needs, Her Needs, only it's much more fun to read and easier to apply.

Their recreational intimacy section alone was worth the book - since reading that section 8 months ago I've lost 27 pounds and started working out with my husband. We tried it once when we first got married, but it didn't end well. I love that it has brought us closer together in that area. Being part of the test group for Tony's Thrive90 Fitness program was a huge part of this change.

Thanks for an awesome book Tony & Alisa!
