Lilith St. Lyon is horrified when she is STRIPPED of her powers as a witch. Even worse, her sister is the Guardian who handles the awful deed! Unfortunately, her former lover, Detective Mac Mancusi, needs her assistance on a case he is working on. Will Lilith be able to help now that she is powerless? And will Mac accept the truth of who Lilith really is?
I am still new to reading the Harlequin Blaze line but Julie Leto has convinced me to keep reading more! STRIPPED is actually a fantastic mystery coupled with a very sensuous romance. The paranormal aspects are absolutely paramount to the storyline and kept me turning the pages, just to see what would happen next. Julie Leto does a phenomenal job with character development. It is fun to watch Lilith develop from a sometimes shallow witch to a very caring and determined woman. Her passion for the truth is sometimes overshadowed by her dislike for strict rules, but she shows unswerving loyalty. Mac is a superb Alpha male and the clash between these two dominant personalities is instantaneous. Mac also strongly supports the truth, no matter the cost to himself, and it is interesting to see his adjustment to Lilith's world where witches and powers really do exist. STRIPPED is a quick but fun read. Julie Leto meshes together elements of several genres and adds her own unique twists and turns. STRIPPED is a keeper and easily recommended.
