Product Description

Wheelchair Transfers (30 minutes)

In this video Jan Davis shows family members how to do wheelchair transfers. This program is designed to teach transfers in a way where lifting is not required. You will learn safe and therapeutic methods for transfers in and out of the wheelchair for those needing moderate and maximum assistance. These methods reduce back pain and injury to both the stroke survivor and the person assisting.

Topics Include:

- Step-by-step instructions for moderate and maximum assist transfers.
- Transfers which require the assistance of two persons
- Helping reposition the person who is "sliding out" of their wheelchair
- Proper wheelchair positioning

By A Customer
This review is from: A Stroke Survivor's Guide To Independence: Wheelchair Transfers [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Im a newly graduated therapist and didn't feel comfortable doing transfers. After reviewing this tape I feel more confident. This tape shows how to transfer using min, mod and max Assist.
