Amazon.com Product Description

Presenting the world's first computer/speedometer designed to fit on any baby stroller--the Strollometer. This 8-function, wireless marvel helps you get the most out of what you're already doing: strolling. With an easy strap-on, strap-off design, The Strollometer is the must-have accessory for any new mom looking to get back into shape after pregnancy.

Want to get back into shape after having a baby, but can't find the time? One solution--do more of what you're already doing. Stroll.

Adi Weber, co-inventor of the Strollometer, with her kids.
Made by Parents, for Parents
Co-invented by Adi and Don Weber, the Strollometer is the product of parents who wanted to get more out of their strolls.

Our inspiration for the Strollometer came about one month after I gave birth to our third child, Deena. I would often take my daughter on strolls in an attempt to squeeze in a good workout while she napped. Unfortunately, I never knew how far I went, how fast I strolled, or whether my "workout" would ever measure up to the workouts I was familiar with at my gym. Nothing designed for bikers or walkers gave me the information, accuracy or ease I wanted.

The idea for the Strollometer was born. And by designing it from the ground up, we made sure it could easily strap-on to any stroller--whether it's traditional, all-terrain or jogging.

Happy strolling! -- Adi

How it Works
The Strollometer features easy-to-read display screens that help you keep tabs on your stroll:

Current Speed: Like a treadmill, you always know how fast or how slow you're strolling. Feeling good? Why not pick up the pace?

Maximum Speed: You powerstroll through the neighborhood. A nice flat stretch is up ahead...you pick up the pace...But make sure you jog or run only with a jogging stroller.

Average Speed: You stroll for 50 minutes at an average speed of 4 mph. You feel great. Tomorrow try strolling a touch faster.

Trip Distance: No more retracing your route with your car to see how far you've gone. You stroll for two and a half miles. Why not make it an even three?

Trip Time: Time flies when you're on a stroll. Why not add an extra 15 minutes and feel even better.

Daily Mileage: You run errands. You spend the afternoon at the mall. You run more errands. Was it a day without exercise? Hardly. Today's tally: 2.6 miles and counting.

Ambient Temperature: You walk into a restaurant and suddenly it hits you: this place is cold. You glance at your Strollometer. Yup, time to pull out the blankie.

Clock Time: Baby yoga at 10. Lunch date at noon. Pediatrician at 3. You've got the current time--whether your Strollometer is on or off.

Easy to Install
The Strollometer is wireless and straps-on, straps-off any stroller. Just follow these simple steps and you'll be up and strolling in seconds:

Strap console band onto stroller handlebar.

Slide console onto band.

Place adhesive-backed magnetic strip onto outermost edge of the rear wheel.

Strap on stroller leg and position sensor over magnet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very accurate, November 15, 2006
I saw the review earlier and believe this person is mistaken. I have been using mine on a BOB as well and
my numbers have been accurate. If I know I'm going about the same speed, my speed readout is constant. My distance is always spot on. I have found that the most important thing is for the sensor to remain firmly connected to the stroller leg. If the sensor is loose it misses wheel rotations - and may affect the speed readout. I'm really addicted to this product and highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, Even Better Customer Service!!, October 2, 2006

This review is from: Strollometer Wireless Stroller Speedometer/Odometer (Blue/Black) (Health and Beauty)
I purchased the Strollometer a week or so ago and so far have been extremely happy with it. It was super-easy to install and works wonderfully!! I have not had any problems with the magnet falling off. Just be sure to follow the instructions that say to clean the area on the wheel where the magnet will be placed and to not touch the sticky part of the magnet. The installation kit includes an alcohol pad to clean your stroller wheel.

I had one minor problem with this product that was immediately resolved well beyond my satisfaction by the customer service rep at Nine Months Up, Nine Months Down (the company that manufactures the product). The console portion did not work when I installed the battery, so I called the manufacturer (although I purchased the product from Amazon). The line was busy, but the rep had caller ID and actually called me back even though I had not left a message!! I explained the problem and she apologized profusely. Although it was 5:30pm by the time we spoke, the rep still promised to overnight a new part to me at no expense so that I would have it by the next day. Sure enough, a new part arrived as promised. The rep then called me back just to be sure that the part arrived and that it worked. What awesome customer service!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works beautifully!, September 26, 2006

I've spent hours and hours using this product and recommend it enthusiastically. It installed in a snap without any tools whatsoever. The user manual even has a ruler built into the edge so that I could measure the stroller wheel size instantly for a very accurate speed/distance reading. Now I have a nice little dashboard right on my stroller. I wish every product I bought was so simple to use.
