5.0 out of 5 stars Very accurate
I saw the review earlier and believe this person is mistaken. I have been using mine on a BOB as well and
my numbers have been accurate. If I know I'm going about the same speed, my speed readout is constant. My distance is always spot on. I have found that the most important thing is for the sensor to remain firmly connected to the stroller leg. If the sensor is...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great... when it works
This thing is such a pain in the rear. The arm that attaches to the wheel gets bent and out of alignment every time you fold your stroller and the magnet has come off so many times that I ran out of replacements. When it works, it is great to have, but 90% of the time it is just acting as an overpriced handlebar clock. Might be good if you never collapse your stroller,...

If the sensor is loose it misses wheel rotations - and may affect the speed readout. I'm really addicted to this product and highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, Even Better Customer Service!!, October 2, 2006

I purchased the Strollometer a week or so ago and so far have been extremely happy with it. It was super-easy to install and works wonderfully!! I have not had any problems with the magnet falling off. Just be sure to follow the instructions that say to clean the area on the wheel where the magnet will be placed and to not touch the sticky part of the magnet. The installation kit includes an alcohol pad to clean your stroller wheel.

I had one minor problem with this product that was immediately resolved well beyond my satisfaction by the customer service rep at Nine Months Up, Nine Months Down (the company that manufactures the product). The console portion did not work when I installed the battery, so I called the manufacturer (although I purchased the product from Amazon). The line was busy, but the rep had caller ID and actually called me back even though I had not left a message!! I explained the problem and she apologized profusely. Although it was 5:30pm by the time we spoke, the rep still promised to overnight a new part to me at no expense so that I would have it by the next day. Sure enough, a new part arrived as promised. The rep then called me back just to be sure that the part arrived and that it worked. What awesome customer service!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works beautifully!, September 26, 2006

I've spent hours and hours using this product and recommend it enthusiastically. It installed in a snap without any tools whatsoever. The user manual even has a ruler built into the edge so that I could measure the stroller wheel size instantly for a very accurate speed/distance reading. Now I have a nice little dashboard right on my stroller. I wish every product I bought was so simple to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Got me through the holidays!, January 15, 2007

I purchased my Strollometer Thanksgiving weekend knowing it would be a tough month to navigate all the food combined with trying to lose my post-pregnancy pounds. I received it in a flash and it was easy to install on my Phil & Ted. I did call Customer Service asking for help for magnet placement because the rim of my stroller is very narrow. The response was well beyond my expectations! The rep was extremely knowledgable and recommended that I place the magnet on the slant below the rim. Voila! She said she would follow up in the next few days - AND SHE DID!!! It is an unbelievable product - user-friendly, accurate, sturdy, and has helped get me through the holiday season.

5.0 out of 5 stars Going strong all Fall, November 11, 2006

I've been using my Strollometer since September on my Bugaboo Frog and have since recommended it to about half a dozen friends. I live out in the woods and it continues to stand up to some pretty rough terrain. It's a solid product that I have found very useful.

This is such a great idea. It was easy to set up and the directions were extremely easy to follow. The only thing I thought of changing was have the time and temperature always displayed even when you select the different modes. Very well designed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great on MaClaren Strollers!, June 19, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I currently have a pair of Nike + shoes with the i-pod integration that gives you time/distance/etc. on your ipod. I purchased this stroller odometer because I realized how many times I am out walking with my stroller without my running shoes on. I couldn't be happier with the Strollometer!

Great things about the Strollometer include...

* The instructions are very well written and the installation process is easy. So is set up. The only tools needed are a coin (for opening the battery compartment) and a tape measure with centimeter measurement (for measuring the circumference of your wheels).
* The read-out is accurate. It almost matches my Nike + ipod readout exactly.
* The attachment easily adjust so that you can clearly read it while walking, yet it is not in the way of your hand grips or handles.
* The monitor is easy to use with only 3 buttons.
* The monitor easily detaches so it can be removed from the stroller.
* It traveling, like on a plane, where you need to remove the entire set up, both the handlebar piece and bottom sensor arm can be easily removed and reattached at your destination.
* The device does not interfere with the folding and unfolding of your stroller.

The only downfall of this item seems to be that magnet on the wheel could fall off after some use or while being handled by the airline, but they give you two additional replacement magnets. Be sure to clean your wheel with the alcohol pad provided and let it dry completely before applying the magnet to the wheel and wait 24 hours before use. The other catch is to apply it to the non-rubber part of the wheel (apply it to the hub-cap part of the wheel instead). The magnet also works best applied vertically instead of horizontally.

I have a MaClaren Triumph stroller. This is just a walking/travel style stroller, not a running stroller. I was easily able to install the magnet and sensor arm so that it is on the inside of the innermost wheel in the back.

This is great! It was very easy to put on the stroller and the directions were flawless. They even thought to put a centimeter ruler on the directions b/c you need the cm's of your stroller wheel/tire. I wish all products had directions like these!

4.0 out of 5 stars great idea, January 12, 2007
By
Cami (Kapolei, Hawaii) - See all my reviews
I love all of the different features this has. The downfall is that sometimes when I fold up my stroller I tend to bump or move the arm that is supposed to be next to the sensor. I have to reset it each time I start a new walk after unfolding the stroller. Going over a large bump may jarr it away from the sensor too. I use on sidewalks so not really a problem but if used for heavier terrain it may not be so great unless you keep an eye on it and notice when it resets itself or your readings will be wrong at the end of the trip! I noticed after going off of a curb that it jarred away just enough to reset the trip info.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!, October 15, 2007
This is a great product, and only wish I had gotten one sooner!

I have an InStep Safari TT double jogging stroller, and installation was a breeze. It works great, I just make sure the sensor is the right distance from the magnet before you get going. After being folded up or stored, sometimes it can get knocked out of place, but you just bend it back and you're off!

I used this at Disney and I brought the part that attaches to the handlebar into the rides so it wouldn't be stolen, and then just popped it back on when we got out. The stroller averaged 4.5 miles a day, and I know we walked more than that!

I LOVE the fact that it shows the temperature!
