The frank yet nurturing syntax is apparent throughout, and combined with the pertinent anecdotal evidence it directs to inner contemplation and valuable self-assessment. The result of which can be influential in making positive life changes suited to the individual. I especially appreciated the survey and its ability to encourage accountability in a reliable and meaningful way. Holding myself accountable doesn't always come easily for me in this busy and often harried life I lead!
One chapter/idea I was particularly grateful for was physical safety. It is an area I am seriously lacking in awareness and ability to teach and train my daughters in. After reading, and properly digesting, this information,I feel I have what is needful to encourage my daughters to accept and protect their right to physical safety in this rapidly deteriorating world.
Not just for mothers, this book can help all females strengthen themselves for the better. We need not worry about what others choose. We need only be concerned with making ourselves the best we can be, and in turn we offer our best to others.
Here are some of the key points that struck home with me. Actually it was hard not to quote the whole book. I chose some examples from the first few chapters and Young Women Values that were discussed.
-Where there is gratitude there is spirituality.
-We always have a choice whether we are going to listen and
obey the Lord.
-We teach our daughters to live by faith because
by faith we receive answers to our prayers. Why do we teach our daughters faith? To give
them hope. We share the key tool that will help them
bring about and recognize miracles in their own lives.
One big difference between physical characteristics and divine
traits is we have the ability to diminish or enhance the divine by
the choices we make.
-As women of all ages, if we are not
watchful, experiences may confuse and entice us away from our
birthright—the beautiful, the sacred, and the divine.
I feel like it was a blessing to read this book. I"m so grateful for the opportunity to review it. I needed the guidance in this book to help me in my parenting as a single mom and to a mother of a young woman.
Overall, this book is my top choice for gift giving on Mother's Day.Read more ›
The stories are heartfelt and raw. An excellent resource for Young Women leaders and other Christian leaders of youth who struggle and need guidance and love to move forward.
For women of any age, this is a reminder of how to apply the Young Women values in everyday circumstances. Truly inspired.

This is a great book. Although it is written for those who are LDS, and follows the Young Women’s Values, it is certainly applicable to all faiths. Read morePublished 21 months ago by Marlene A. Sullivan
