Heroes of the Golden Age,

This review is from: The Strong, Silent Type: Over 100 Screen Cowboys, 1903-1930 (Paperback)
This is a must for those who want to know more about the heroes of the silent era. Buck Rainey is the foremost historian of western film. I have other books of his in my collection.
At my age, I prefer to watch the silent films. Most are as good as any of those classics produced in the 30s to 70s and better than those made today. Try watching The Iron Horse, 3 Bad Men, The Winning of Barbara Worth and Tumbleweeds. They are "A" films. |
