Outstanding in Every Way,
By
This review is from: Strong Suspicion (Audio CD)
My husband introduced me to the Blues and to Curtis's music a couple of years ago. I immediately fell in love with both, but it's Curtis that I can listen to any time of day, any day of the year.
Strong Suspicion is a fantastic album. The lyrics are creative and fun to listen to, the songs are funky and original, and Curtis is soulful, funky, ironic, strong, heartfelt, and beautiful, all at the same time. If you love the Blues mixed with a bit of funk and rock, and you appreciate a great voice, you will love this album.

Blues So Heavy You Might Fall Down,

This review is from: Strong Suspicion (Audio CD)
If you know the blues, real blues, then you should know Curtis Salgado. I have been following his music for a little over ten years now. I have never known of an artist that has produced quality so consistently.
You should also know that the Blues Brothers was loosely based on Curtis' life. Curtis was also a member of the Robert Cray Band. He is a solid part of the blues and continues to tour providing riveting live shows. Throughout his career he has worked with everyone from BB King to Stevie Ray Vaughn. This album is a continuation of his art. This album shows an further refining of his style and strength. Within the walls of the album are grooves ranging from gospel (Born All Over) to tongue-in-cheek rockabilly blues (Can't Stop Lovin'). This album swaps styles from song to song, so it never gets repetitive. His lyrics are meaningful, well planned, and flawlessly executed by voice that cuts the air like an axe and strikes like a hammer. Buy this album now along with ten copies for your friends. Beg, borrow, or steal-it's the real deal.

Amazing talent!!!,

In my humble opinion Curtis Salgado is without question the best blues/soul singer alive. He is a modern day "blues belter" with a soulful and sometimes funky edge. Check out tracks "The Sum of Something" and the blues ballad "Help me through the Day" and you will know what I'm talking about. Check out his tour dates on www.curtissalgado.com and see him live. If you are like most people you will be stunned and blown away by his massive talent.
