Tracy Lawrence Makes a "STRONG" Return,
By
This review is from: Strong (Audio CD)
Tracy Lawrence has one of those voices that is so familiar with every album. And so distinguishable that you know it's him the moment you hear his song. He can easily wrap around your emotions and get right to the core of your feelings. He truly has the "Country Sound", and this CD proves that from some songs that sound like the older traditional country that he does best and some that are the modern sound from today. This CD touches on many subjects from family, love, heartbreak, and things that happen in ordinary people's lives. There's something for everyone to relate too. Along with a couple tracks that include that infamous "growl" that makes Tracy unique. A CD has never been more appropriately named than "Strong" is for Tracy Lawrence. If you are a fan of Country music or Tracy Lawrence you need to give his new album "Strong a Listen"

Awesome CD,

This CD (Along with Gretchen Wilson's "Here's To The Party") is the best CD of the year, I have listened to him for about 3 years, and the more I listen to his music, the more I realize that he does NO bad songs. There is only one singer who is better than him, and that is George Strait. I would recommend ANY CD this man comes out with (I have 4, and I want to complete the entire collection), I would start with "Greatest Hits", and if you can get it "Tracy Lawrence Live", if you are unfamiliar with his music. But this should be apart of anyone's country collection.

Tracy Lawrence on a STRONG comeback,
By

This CD is great. My all-time favorite from Tracy. It's a wonderful arrangement of life stories that allow you to become a part of each song. Every song will touch on some part of your life and hit a nerve. The man is an awesome artist. WARNING: This CD is what country music should be!! Listen with caution, as you will be asking why these other so-called country artists are putting out music and trying to call it country music. Buy this CD. You will love it. DEDICATED Tracy Lawrence Fan in SC.

What an incredible album, if you don't like this, then you don't like Country Music. Tracy's style of singing goes back to the traditional roots of Country the way it should be sung ! Almost every song on there tells a story some more powerful then others, but never the less they are all great !

Tracy Lawrence has the kind of voice that sends chills up your spin with the right songs. Every song on this album is the right song. He has matured and it shows in his voice. I have just about burnt up the cd, so I went out and bought another one. From Paint me a Birmingham to Sawdust on her Halo to Strong, there isn't a bad song on the CD. Hopefully his new record company will recognize what a talent they have and release a few more of the songs as singles. Sawdust on her Halo just makes you want to get up and dance, and I think would be a great hit. I played the cd for my sixteen year old niece and her two friends, they were listening but didn't say much. The next time I was in her car, I found out she had bought the CD and played it constantly as did her girlfriends. Tracy's music has made three new fans out of three rappers. This CD is so well worth the wait and buying it is a must.

Great Country Music,

I purchased this album on the strength of "Paint Me A Birmingham," which, I believe, will come to be regarded as a country classic. Several other songs in this recording (Strong, Everywhere But Hollywood, Bobby Darwin's Daughter, and What The Flames Feel Like) are also worth mentioning. These songs especially get an "A" for vocal technique, and the ability to paint a picture in one's mind. If I wanted to introduce pure country music to someone, and show the heart and soul of country, this would be a good resource.

Exceptional country artist returns,

Tracy Lawrence is one of the best artists in country music, ever. Mr.Lawrence has had his troubles over the years but has cleaned up his life and returned with a passionate, top-notch collection of songs. "Think of me"and "It's all how you look at it"are bound to repeat of the success of "Paint me a Birmingham." The enchanced features on this CD are wonderful, Lawrence shows and talks of his new family, wife and two young children. The footage captured is heart-warming and gives buyers an inside look at behind-the-scenes during the album's photoshoot and backstage with Lawrence at the Grand Ole Opry. Lawrence has earned his weay back to the top and I suspect will remain there for a long time.

It's about time Tracy Lawrence is back on the radio again!!If you don't have the new cd "Strong" you don't know what you're missing! This cd is still the traditional sound of Tracy Lawrence but you can tell he's getting older and wiser!! Now since he's married and has a family, i think alot of these songs reflect on that. You still have your roll down the window and crank it up song like "Sawdust On My Halo" and the What the heck happened at the end of this story with the song "The Questionaire." If you're a Tracy Lawrence fan, you'll love this cd. If you're not, you will be after listening.. I Promise!!

Wow! I've been listening to Tracy Lawrence since the release of his first album, and have been a fan of his. I've been enjoying several concerts since the last album, and the best one of all was in Lancaster, PA when I saw Paint Me A Birmingham performed live! I knew then I would have to own this cd. It was hard waiting for the release but now that I have it I listen to it even if only in part every day. I request PMAB every day on CRL on GAC hoping to see the live Opry peformance, he "nailed it". I just love the get lost in the song feeling this song gives you, and the rest of the cd is so "real", it just grips you.I don't know if they named this cd STRONG for the content of it or for the POWER his voice. Either way it is a must have!!!

Traditional Country Music Has Returned To The Airwaves,
By Christopher W. Rolen (East Tennessee) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Strong (Audio CD)
Today's country music has taken to the interstate versus the old backroad. Out Out with the old - in the with new; as some would say. Pop-country acts are ever-so-slowly dominating country radio, much to the media's delight. It takes a 'strong' man to release a real country album, in this day and age. STRONG is nothing short of a magnificent piece of work. Twelve tracks that are more than difficult to become burnt-out on. The album's opener (and soon to be 2nd single) - "It's All How You Look At It", shows traces of commercialism, but is laced with enough steel guitar to dismiss any thought of that. "A Far Cry From You" and "Think Of Me"(which echoes the ghost of Restless Heart), could easily have been on any of Tracy's past studio ventures. In a society that looks down on tradition and embraces drastic change, it warms the heart to know there are singers like Tracy Lawrence that know where his roots lie. STRONG is worth every penny.
