Lee Greenwood is back with a vengeance. For performers, this is what making a great album is all about. For music fans, this is what buying a great CD is all about. Remember the days when you could buy the new album by your favorite artist and not only were the singles from the album great,but the album cuts were standouts as well? This is exactly what you get from "Stronger Than Time". It's obvious that each one of these songs was carefully selected to compliment the other. What is truly awe-inspiring is the fact that Greenwood's voice is actually better than his 1980's heyday. He has discovered a depth and passion that takes his already amazing talent to a new level. Greenwood fans - this CD is a MUST!!! Fans of GREAT songs - don't miss this opportunity to add this fantastic collection of stellar songs to your collection. Stand-out tracks and my personal favorites are: ONE LIFE TO LOVE, CORNFIELD CADILLAC, I WILL NOT GO QUIETLY, and BEAUTIFUL LIES (along with a beautiful new arrangement of Lee's classic "GOD BLESS THE USA").

This CD is by far the best thing to come from country music in a long time. Most of the stuff coming out of Nashville these days is NOT country (By My Definition). But it is great that Lee has a big deal again. I hope that Curb treats him well and supports this album, because it is just wonderful. And if you want a real treat, Put on your headphones and listen to track 7. (Cornfield Cadillac) Don't let the title scare you. This is a great song! Then start at Track 1 one and listen to the whole thing. I wish radio would get over their payola crap and play the songs that are good. Because this album should be spinning all over the world.

It is so good to hear from Lee Greenwood again. This album proves that Lee's voice is Stronger Than Time; He sounds better than ever! There are some real gems on this album: One Life To Love, Cornfield Cadillac and the most amazing version of his American Anthem, God Bless The USA as backed by the Fisk Jubilee Singers. The production and songwriting on the entire album is exquisite! I ran out and purchased this CD right away and I was in no way dissapointed. 2 Thumbs Up!

This man has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. If I didn't already know that he was incredible I'm not sure I would have listened to it, but since I knew him well from the 80's I bought this CD and it is outstanding. His voice is better than ever and the songs are deep and full of meaning and passion. This CD will not disappoint either long time Lee Greenwood fans like me, or new, young people who are just getting the chance to listen to a great voice and buy an awesome CD. It's unexaggeratedly really great. He did himself and his fans proud with this CD.

Okay, after using that annoying pun, allow me to elaborate a little bit: Lee Greenwood is one hell of a performer! I have to admit, this is the first album of his I've bought; and no, in case you're wondering, the inclusion of "God Bless the USA" had no effect on my choosing to purchase this CD (it didn't hurt things, though).

I'll get right to the album, save ya'll any more small talk. I was expecting some more of Greenwood's songwriting; after all, "USA" is a superbly written song. I wasn't expecting these sleek numbers from mainstream Nasvhille songwriters. That's the bad thing.

The good thing is, Greenwood's voice is rich and pure. He takes these songs--absolutely meaningless and trivial in the hands of any other singer--and turns them into something memorable. Most of 'em deal with love, of course; "It Almost Makes me Glad" is a heartbreaker, while "One Life to Love" barely avoids the cliche and "When a Woman's in Love" is a fun look at how women feel when their hearts get all fluttery (at least, from a man's perspective). "Rocks that You Can't Move" is about getting on with life through the hardships; "'Round Here" takes a look at small towns. And the new excellent, emotional version of "God Bless the USA" is as patriotic and moving as ever.

Lee Greenwood isn't trying anything new here. This is territory that's been traversed before, to be sure. But his voice is unique; his sense of timing and style is un-matched. Aside from the excess photography (not badly done, but unnecessary), this album is a musical gem. It may not be stronger than time, but it's definitely the album of the moment. So, to continue on with the cliche: seize the moment, and along with it, Lee Greenwood's "Stronger than Time"!
