This game is great. It runs fine on my system. I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ @ 2.4 Ghz, Onboard Geforce 6150se (not the greatest) with 128mb, and Windows Vista Home Premium. Runs like a champ. Its alot harder than Crusader by a long shot. If you have played crusader then you know its not so much about the castle and more about killing people. In this one its seems more about your castle. I mean you get lots of great units to use to kill your enemy, but to get there it takes great castle management. Very fun game once you get the hang of it!

This product has many innovations and new concepts over the original and its expansion. The intricate lord and honor system adds new depth. When I first borrowed this game from my library, it would hardly run on my computer, meaning this isn't a game for an old system or one with a faint of heart graphic card. Aside from its technical requirements, the 3d graphics look their age, but not as good as, comparable games of the time. The new mechanics can seem overwhelming at time and there are several new layers of micromanagement. The castle building isn't necessarily improved as instead expanded with many new innovations for defending your stronghold. These add a small layer of depth but with each new defense requiring the user's attention, a small vital area of a bigger battle may be thus overlooked and then your lord is dead. The province system is new and unique; but it feels clunky when dealing with carting posts and the AI.

As my only wish, had this not been 3D, the quality, and my appreciation, would have been much higher for this game and its new mechanics. Overall its a slightly above average game but should not be a purchase for those who have low end systems or are not exuberant fans of the original stronghold.

My only experience with Stronghold prior to this was with the original version. #2 is more of a challenge for sure, but it does have bugs which are annoying. I frequently find the torturers quit working, prisoners continue to languish in the jail and nothing I've tried will remedy the problem. All in all it's a good game and I'm glad I purchased it.

Stronghold 2 was my favorite of the series, exited about the deluxe version. It updates to Stronghold 2 - 1.4. The same update and the same play as the original. Also no game manual.

Son loves the game. Love to play online against each other, but you'll need 2.

I was used to the original Stronghold so naturally the graphics are so much better!! More of a challenge also.

I bought the game after playing the demo version. If I had known how truly hard it is to be good at this game I probably would have selected another.

I was looking for a slightly more simple game where details didnt have to be quite so demanding.

this game is fun good happy with it but one problem the game is messed up because its from some company who copy's disc and resales so when i try to download the upgrade it doesn't work as soon as its done downloading the game is not there and has to be re downloaded now this is very annoying because i cant play multi player i don't recommended buying from this company (not amazon, i like them)

Game works OK after installation but for me it would just not install properly. After several attempts finally installed but then after some time it didn't woek properly.

Downloads were a waste. Maybe the inventors should really put eforts into the game working better before putting it out there.

Game wise it was good whem it worked especially with the flanking tactics.

Tried the "support". I was a waste. Too bad it basically is a good game.
Probably put on the market before bugs were solved.

Problem is more than 1 manufacturer is doing this. Good Luck - Ed
