This compact Strong's concordance goes a step further than most other compacts that I've found. It also includes Strong's Numbering System. In keeping with its size, however, it does NOT include the Hebrew-Aramaic/Greek dictionaries that are found in the larger concordances. That may be a drawback for some, but in my case it was no problem. I was more interested in a quick-reference to Strong's Number so I could delve into my other word study resources. Other features of this concordance (as listed on the back cover) are: Handy carry-along size (7 x 5 x 1.6 inches), alphabetical listing of key words in the Bible, set in easy-to-read type, words of Christ in BOLD for easy identification, printed thumb-index tabs to help you find words quickly and an index of Proper Names which lists all the proper names in the Bible along with a pronunciation guide. Even though the book is compact, the type and formatting make it very easy on my 54-year old eyes. Now I'm not saying that I would want to read this small type for an extended period of time...but as a quick reference tool with easy mobility, I felt it was very well done. From a layout standpoint, the words themselves are in BOLD and are at the top of a 4-column listing which includes: (1)Book (2)Chapter/Verse (3)Scripture citation where the leading word is represented by its initial letter BOLDED (4)Strong's Number. This columnized formatting is a great visual aid. Even though it does not have the dictionaries, there are some wonderful word study materials available, and this concordance, with its inclusion of the Strong's Numbering System is a great way to begin your research.

Whenever a product arrives on time and in the condition stated, I am a happy camper. These books were for Christmas gifts therefore being "new" and on time was important!

This book might as well been listed as NEW, and not Like New because it was in perfect condition. I don't think it was ever really used. This book is soooo handy and you can fit it in your briefcase or purse. Perfect addition to your library and at this price, you can't beat it!

Perfect for keeping in your backpack, if you are like me - on the go, and often in need of a quick reference. Perfect for clergy. Keep it in your car, briefcase, etc. and remember, the Strong's reference number is also listed with each entry, so you can jot it down and look up the Hebrew or Greek definition quickly when you get back to the Exhaustive version that you keep on your desk. Speaking of... An ideal companion, which I have not found, would be a handi-sized Hebrew and Greek Dictionary the same size as this one, keyed to Strong's reference numbers. I've used the Strong's Handi-Reference Concordance many times in the past few weeks, and though it is not exhaustive, it is infinitely more useful than the simple concordance in the back of most Bibles (786 pages of small-font text). It's the size of a paperback novel - a perfect travel companion. When I am away from home, camping, or travelling, this powerful reference tool will always be nearby.

This book is formatted nicely but it leaves out far too many words and does not list all of the occurrences of the words they do list. The first time i used it i was let down twice by a word that was listed but not the verse i was looking for. that was enough to give up on it. i couldnt even bring myself to give it to a friend for they would have to be disappointed also.
