New sections offer coronal views of the gross brain and brain stem, biochemical neuroanatomy, magnetic resonance images, and recent computerized tomographic scans. In addition, many refinements have been made in the illustrations retained from earlier editions. As before, only the highest quality photomicrographs have been included.

I really like the layout of this atlas. they give you a labeled drawing on one page and on the next you get the real thing without labels. This is a great way to learn the material rather than learn the book. I wish there were more atlases with this format.

This is the standard atlas in my human neuroanatomy class. Clear photos and accompanying drawings. Excellent for reviewing brainstem sections.

I had to get this book for a class but I wouldn't buy it if I did not have to. All of the pictures are in black and white. Netters books are much better!
