I'll start by stating my one complaint about this band (and the reason I would actually rate this album 4 1/2 stars instead of 5 if I could): They're not quite as fluent in English as I wish they were. A good majority of their lyrics are just fine, but then there are instances in almost every song where some phrases just don't make sense or are kinda goofy. But it's not a major issue. I like a lot of Scandinavian and German synth bands, and it's somewhat of a recurring problem that I've gotten sorta used to at this point. Anyway... That one compaint aside, this is a great album. I really liked the previous album, but it didn't hook me quite like this one did. This one seems more refined and less doom-laden (which can get old fast). Each track is catchy and very well-produced. Favorites so far are "Black" (great choice for the single - I can't get the dang chorus out of my head!), "The Zone," "Is She Scared?", "She's a Planet" (probably the most poppy track they've done), and "Unaware." There are only two tracks that aren't dancefloor-oriented: "God" (probably my least favorite track) and "Band of Brothers". Overall, this album is very enjoyable from beginning to end. If you are unfamiliar with Colony 5, they sound a lot like T.O.Y., but slightly darker. I hope they keep up the great production and catchy song-writing...and maybe take a few more English lessons so I can give their next effort a genuine 5 stars. :)
