More About the Author

Wanda Brunstetter is an award-winning romance novelist who has led millions of readers to lose their heart in the Amish life. She is the author of over 60 books with more than 7 million copies sold. Many of her books have landed on the top bestseller lists, including the New York Times, USA Today, Publisher's Weekly, CBA, ECPA, and CBD. Wanda is considered one of the founders of the Amish fiction genre, and her work has been covered by national publications, including Time Magazine and USA Today.

Wanda's fascination with the Amish culture developed when she met her husband, Richard, who grew up in a Mennonite church, and whose family has a Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. Meeting her new Mennonite sister-in-laws caused Wanda to yearn for the simpler life. In their travels, she and her husband have become close friends with many Amish people across America. Wanda's desire to explore their culture increased when she discovered that her great-great grandparents were part of the Anabaptist faith.

All of Wanda's novels are based on personal research intended to accurately portray the Amish way of life. Many of her books are well-read and trusted by the Amish, who credit her for giving readers a deeper understanding of the people and their customs.

Wanda's primary attraction to the Amish is their desire to live a devout Christian life that strives to honor God, work hard, and maintain close family ties. Whenever she visits her Amish friends, Wanda finds herself drawn to their peaceful lifestyle, sincerity, and close family ties, which is in stark contrast to the chaos and busyness that plagues so many modern "Englishers." Time and time again, Wanda loses her heart in the Amish life, and she hopes her readers will, too. For more information, visit: www.WandaBrunstetter.com

For me, Wanda E. Brunstetter is uneven. Some of her books are fantastic and some are just not good. This conclusion to the Kentucky Brothers series is fantastic.

Timothy Fisher moves his family to Kentucky because Hannash is too attached to her mother and is neglecting him. Hannah hates Kentucky and makes no effort to try to make a home there or make friends. She tries to alienate everyone who wants to be her friend. Many times reading this book, I just wanted to reach into the pages and throttle her. She comes across as a really spoiled brat. She is also very overprotective of Mindy and won't allow Mindy to play with her cousins very often.

After a tragic accident which she blames Timothy for, Hannah runs home to Mama. I won't give away anything more except to say that the ending is really beautiful and really a surprise.

I LOVE Wanda Brunstetter and I own every book that she has ever wrote so It was Great to get book number three in the Kentucky Brothers series The Struggle. I loved the book but was very sad about Mindy, my heart was heavy and I thought I was going stop reading and put the book up on the shelf as soon as I read it. I am so glad I went on to read the rest of the story, This was the best ending to the book, I could have imagined, God is so good. Mrs. Brunstetter has done it again. I can't wait to read her next book!

Once again Wanda E. Brunstertter has come across with another book in the series "Kentucky Brothers". I was so happy to receive this one from Wanda and Barbour Publishing, now I can continue with the saga of the Fisher family.

Hannah Fisher hates that she has had to move away from his home town and her family and move to Kentucky. But as the Amish believe she had to go where her husband wants to go. Alone with the accident of their little daughter Mindy, there was so much guilt. Now they are having trouble with their marriage as Hannah is so unhappy.
Timothy Fisher is also having a lot of trouble with trying to make his wife happy and his work he really does not know what to do.

As Hannah goes back home to Pennsylvania and to her parents' everywhere she looks there is a reminder of what she had lost. As the time passed and she found out she was expecting a baby she knew that she had to go back to where she belonged and to her husband. Can she forget and forgive as she continues her life.

Will Timothy and Hannah listen to God and settle their differences or will they remain apart?

I love to read these books in a series because once I start to read about a family I just want it to continue. As always Wanda knows how to make you feel me through I am in that family my-self and I just don't want to put it down until the last page, then I look and think couldn't there be at least one more page? I love the receipes that are always in these books. I have tried a few and some of them are just like this old southern woman has always made for her family.

I like this book best of the Kentucky Brothers series. What prompted me to obtain a copy is wondering if this young Amish couple, Hannah and Timothy Fisher would throw their marriage away. One strong theme is the bond of marriage and how much ongoing work and prayer it requires to flourish. Forgiveness and going from 'I' to 'we' is another theme woven throughout the story. Hannah is blind to others and creates her own prison of struggle. Though this may be a work of fiction, Wanda Brunstetter crafts real life characters you can cry and laugh with. Pick up a copy, it won't disappoint.

The Struggle by Wanda E. Brunstetter is full of emotion and unexpected surprises. It is a struggle with the emotions as you try to forgive and try to hope for change in the lives of the characters as they go through their own struggles. You feel the pain and empathize with the characters.

While this book focuses on the characters we have come to know in The Journey and The Healing, The Struggle focuses on Timothy and Hannah. Through a broken marriage, death, love, and hope, readers will get to see God's work in the lives of these characters.

Wanda filled this story with many twists and turns. There were different times while reading that I was caught off guard. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, something unexpected would occur and change my mind.

While the book is about struggle, Wanda beautifully ended the story and left me with a peace and joy for the characters. I am sad to see this series end because I have enjoyed the emotional ride with these characters. I feel as though I have come to know part of Kentucky.

Get ready for lessons of forgiveness and healing in The Struggle, the final book in the Kentucky Brother's Series by Wanda E. Brunstetter. I easily give this book a five star rating as I loved the depth and emotion wrapped into this story.

An excellent book. I carried it with me wherever I went, could not put it down. Hannah made me so frustrated! She had so much and didn't seem to appreciate it. This is a wonderful series by Wanda Brunstetter!
