This book is a wonderful account of the struggles of one teenage boy,as told by his wife, whom also went through some of the same struggles. This book made my feel like I was right there with the charactors, feeling their feelings, fear, pain, exhaustion. It is a wonderful book I think everyone should read this, It's a truthful reminder of just how cruel man can be toward eachother.

I read this book during my senior year of high school. I don't believe any book up till then or since then has touched me so deeply. Its a shame its not in print, since the world would be better for having access to it. Also check out Sara Zyskind's book, The Stolen Years. This is her own experiences during the holocaust and is just as worthy a book.
