Shoving a dirtied, well-placed syringe straight through the heart of expectation, Aborted further remove themselves from the Carcass homage of old on their sixth release . While most bands are content releasing the same record every other year, this international collective prefers to strike a rare balance between maturity and experimentation, honoring a legacy of brutal Death Metal and Grindcore while progressing toward something slightly less classifiable. Aborted is like a fine wine... get better with age. this album is brutal and straight to the point. the intro is great and preps u for the rest to come. Sven barks like a madman, his performance on this cd really comes across to me the way he is live if you've seen them. Nice soundbite on "murmur" by none other than charles manson, and is a stand out track for me. They really capitalize on the duel melodies of the guitarist, putting just the right touch of melody in the songs. Then the reason i got the import instead of us version... they cover "slaughtered" by the almighty PANTERA! and man it is sick! Not going to even explain, listen for youself.. its just another great release from 1 of the best extreme metal bands out there. *Best songs*- 135/ Murmur/ enterrment of an idol/ pestiferous subterfuge
