Fine Swiss mechanism trapped inside dreadful steel, October 17, 2010
This review is from: Stryker Watch WTD0001 Terra Sensor Analog Digital Multi-Function Stainless Band (Misc.)
I bought and replaced 3 watches from stryker. The assembly and battery consumption seem to be a true bug. I tried to forgive everything once (first time I got it it was stuck - analog didn't move and the digital just stopped with the same display). After return and refund I got tempted to buy another. this time it came OK, but I didn't like the lack of contrast of the digital display. Again, forgiving this problem and leaning on the Tritium (which is good) illumination, and having a compass, very good dual time, countdown timer and other features which I really like. but - after half a year - the watch just stopped - battery drained and its not covered by the warranty. Then - The trouble began, and I mean real trouble. First - Replacing the battery with an expert didn't help recovering the water resistance. it was marked as "100m" but I got it filled with steam. Then, realizing a watch without water resistance will lack its most important feature - I've asked the manufacturer for spare parts which didn't help. finally I've got it draining all the batteries too fast. The dealer sent me a replacement watch - but this time it didn't water resist from the beginning (and It was a brand new replacement). Today I have 2 good features watches on paper, not recommended to buy, unless stryker will improve the case quality by fining a higher quality Chinese manufacturer.
