4.0 out of 5 stars Great Metal Album 'BUT', May 3, 2007
By avgvstvs "xeno6696" (Omaha NE) - See all my reviews

The death metal vocals really sound out of place to the music... some of the music is right in line with In Flames' older stuff, but he's got a deep, sinister growl that sounds out of place with it... and he's way too monotone, I don't get any emotion out of him, again counteracting the incredibly powerful and intricate riffs. Music gets 5/5 but the vocals maybe 3/5.

5.0 out of 5 stars great album BUT TRACKS ARE MIXED UP, January 19, 2009
By yogurtninja (columbus, OH) - See all my reviews
i love this album BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS INFO ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC MP3 DOWNLOAD:

i don't know why but the song titles and actual songs are all mixed up, in fact this current download is mixed up in a DIFFERENT way than the one i bought. i had to check the lyrics online and rematch the songs to the correct titles after listening to the album for a week or so.

the song titles on the mp3 album are listed in the correct order, but here is how my songs actually matched up:
1. the snake and the way = a-part of god
2. into sea = bastard-o
3. dysnomia = drudgery
4. a-part of god = dysnomia
5. undertaker = in sane world
6. bastard-o = into sea
7. the third flame = just signs
8. just signs = spiritual
9. truth = the snake and the way (an instrumental)
10. drudgery = the third flame
11. in sane world = truth
12. spiritual = undertaker

2.0 out of 5 stars I loved OGs earlier stuff...but , July 2, 2007
By Metal Queen (Portland, Oregon) - See all my reviews
this is crap compared to their last. Where's the emotion? The passion the intensity? This album is extremely predictable and way to overproduced for my taste. Nothing special about them here.
