My small group purchased this book for our latest study. There's some good principles in this book, but they are buried under a huge amount of typos and grammatical errors. In certain parts of the book, whole paragraphs are repeated (pg. 6 for example). There's also few citations or resources mentioned to support Mr. Walling's concepts, and even his biblical examples are only mentioned by book and chapter number. It is never explained how those Bible stories illustrate the concepts he is referring to, and sometimes it is not completely obvious to the reader. The book also reads as fragmented with many people in my group commenting that it is hard to follow Mr. Walling's train of thought. It's a shame because I believe there are a lot of Christians out there that have felt "stuck" - myself included. Overall, I think the sound principles at the base of this book get lost in all of its errors. For the future I highly recommend that Mr. Walling invest in an editor and release a 2nd edition copy of this book with fewer typos and grammatical errors.

Terry Walling has written a very important book for those of us who want to finish well in life and ministry. He has identified three transition times in the life of most people that can "make or break" us. How we work through these transition times will determine to a great degree who we become, how we live our lives, and how well we finish. Terry's insights into the dynamics of transitions provides a helpful "road map" that can give needed perspective so we can "get as much as possible" out of transitions and be better prepared for the next level of challenges in life and ministry.

As a person who works with leaders, I highly recommend this book as a resource for leaders of all ages and roles. The book is written in a practical and useful manner that encourages application for life transformation.

Stuck! was a timely read. I am stuck. Terry does not expect us to read the whole book, but encourages readers to focus on the spots they feel stuck. He mostly manages to avoid cliches about getting fixed up and back to serving God. He also does not give you a sense that serving God ONLY means being a pastor or working in a Faith Based organization, any one can be stuck no matter what you do. I found it helpful.

Terry Walling has done an excellent job of outlining the transitions that leaders experience over their lifetime. You will find that his practical explanation of transtions leaves you acutely more aware of your particular leadership journey and equipped with the knowledge that will allow you to gain the most from your transition.

As a Christian executive coach, I work with many corporate leaders who are aware of God's role in their development as leaders. When I recommend this book, leaders inevitably report back that it captures exactly what they are feeling, but more importantly, it explains how they can benefit from the transition they are experiencing.

As a fellow researcher on leadership development and Leadership Emergence Theory, I know that this book is based on solid research and builds effectively on Dr. Robert "Bobby" Clinton's two decades of research on Christian leadership development. Terry has masterfully translated complex research findings into practical advice for leaders, whether they work in ministry or in the commercial marketplace.

This book provides very helpful insights for maintaining a positive perspective toward change in our lives. My wife and I have spent much time with the material in this book over the past three years and, with the help of "Stuck!", have developed a framework through which to process the events of our current life-transition. We look forward to the end of our transition (the next new beginning) and we look forward to sharing the concepts of Terry Walling, through this book, with others.
