As an adult who has never read the entire Bible or spent much time in Bible study, I was looking for something that would help guide me through the Bible. This Bible was my answer! It has wonderful features that help you understand what you are reading and why it is important. Each book has an introduction that helps define the overall focus of the particular book and gives ways that help you relate the chapter/book to your personal life as a Christian.
If you are just beginning your study of the Bible this is a must have! You will not be disappointed.

This is the best study Bible for young people we have been able to locate. The NRSV translation is easy to read and is accurate to the original text. I highly recommend this Bible to anyone working with teenagers or for anyone new to Bible study. p.s. A previous review says this Bible is out of print. That is not correct.

I love this Bible and a year later am still very excited with it. It's easy to read, and even includes in the beginning of each book/chapter HOW you should read that particular book with things to look for. People you'll meet in reading that book are introduced and you're given references for where to find more about them. There are lots of little features where a verse will be disected and explained and many extra stories that give you the interesting details behind some of the Biblical characters. It's a million times easier to understand than a KJV. This is the first Bible I've been able to sit down and read and don't want to put it down. It's just much easier to understand. If you have had a hard time reading the Bible, try this one.

My wife and I bought this for our teenage son last year. It has quickly become the family bible. Im buying one for my wife this year for Christmas. At the start of each book it gives a brief history and gives suggestions on how to get the most of the reading. I would recomend this bible for teens and adults

This is the very best edition of the Bible to use for teaching children and young people. It has a very helpful format, excellent notes and well-done summary sections. Unfortunately, Zondervan is not going to continue to publish this version of the Bible. If you do not have a copy of this translation/edition yet, get one soon before they are gone. There is no way any publishing house can do better than this! It is a first class edition and will be a loss to those who teach Bible when it is gone.

My wife and I spent weeks looking for a good Bible that we could use for a daily Bible study. This Bible is exactly what we were looking for. The reading plans are good tools, and the comments thoughtout the text are wonderful. We are very happy with this Bible.

This student Bible is easy to use and contains many helpful explanatory notes. I would recommend it for both young and old.

We love the Student Bibles. We give them to our 3rd graders each year. However, one of the Bibles was slightly damaged this go-round. I had to remove the paper covers (one was torn and wrinkled and I needed the gifts to be identical) and do my best to "un-bend" one of the book's corners before handing them out.

No matter if you are a teacher, student, new to the Bible, or a long time studier...this is a great Bible. The added perspectives often bring parables and law lessons alike. The Bible certainly isn't an easy read book, but this format certainly makes it easier.
