Most college humorists crack jokes about such tired subjects as the bad cafeteria food, small living spaces, and big classes. Funny, sure, but reading it is a lot like having a stand-up comedian joke about bad airline food and how he or she can't program their VCR.

In contrast, Steve Hofstetter nailed the college experience to a tee. Everything from classes and parents to hook-ups and parties are discussed in a hilarious (and slightly sarcastic) manner, with unbelievable, undeniable accuracy. Student Body Shots is a must-read for college students and anyone else who fondly remembers the experience.

I was shocked at how good this book was. I saw it in my school paper and picked up a copy and WOW. I don't think I stopped laughing once. Hofstetter is absolutely hysterical, and right about everything. If you're a freshman, buy this book now and save yourself the trouble of learning it all on your own.

Hofstetter writes with a brutal honesty that is hysterical. As a college student, I can't get enough of seeing my own life in his humor. This book is a great gift for anyone you know in college or for any you know that might want to revist those 4-6 years of their youth.

This book is very easy to relate to. I read it and laughed, because the topics covered are exactly what REALLY happens during college years. I recommend it to any college student or as a gift for a recent graduate.

I've been reading this guy's column on collegehumor.com for 2 years now. His sense of humor reminds me a lot of Dave Barry. When I heard he wrote a book, I knew I could count on him to make me laugh throughout the entire thing. He did not disappoint! There's even a forward from Rider Strong (boy meets world), but that's only the beginning.

Buy this book for your friends in college, friends on their way to college or your friends graduating from college. Even if you've never been to college, you'll definitely relate to sections such as his "Math of Dating."

Keep watching this guy. I heard he's writing more books. I want more now!

I LOVED this book. I have never read anything truer, more on point, or funnier than the stuff Hofstetter wrote about college. If you have ever been to college (or even heard of college) this book is for you.

I was a freshman in college when I found a website that talked about this book. The book wasn't expensive and it sounded good. I gave it shot and laughed my rear end off. What Steve writes is so true and extremely funny. I recomend this to anyone in college or who went to college. Or even if you didn't go to school, my mom still thought it was very funny. The best.

Steve should turn this book into a comedy routine and tour college campuses because i LOL'd the whole time. Kudos friend!

The former sports writer gives us his singular wit and personality throughout this delightful take on college life. Whether you are 18 or 80, this book brings you right back to the collegiate life, though with modern twists and turns for the 2000s. Highly recommended.
