I had been looking for a "Bible for life" for quite a while, and just couldn't find anything that satisfied me. I wanted a cool leather cover, a study Bible that had more Bible than "study" to it, and a good version. I found it all in this Bible! The cover is beautiful and stylish, but not overdone or fad-ish. There are lots of helpful study notes within the text and in the back of the book, but the notes and helps don't overwhelm the Scriptural text. And I love and trust the NIV. It is the compact size, which is more of a medium size than anything, but the text is tinier than I'm used to. However, it's not illegible by any means.

The size of the text and thinness of the pages are the only 2 down-sides to it for me, but both of them are nothing that would cause me to buy a different Bible or return it.

I'm really excited about this Bible.

Our church purchased the compact NIV Student Bible for a young man in our congregation who has graduated from high school and is now going on to college. He was thrilled to receive the Bible to take to school with him in the Fall. The cover is very masculine and rich feeling, and the size of the Bible is perfect.
