This is actually a very nice book to have if you have purchased the Snap Circuit kits separately; however, if you purchase the Elenco Snap Circuits SC-750R Student Training Program as I have, then this book, along with Teacher Guide for Electronic Snap Circuits Hands-on Program for Basic Electricity (Models SC-100R, SC-300R, SC-500R, & SC-750R) and all of the project books for the other kits comes with the Elenco Snap Circuits SC-750R Student Training Program.

Now, I did not read the description for the Elenco Snap Circuits SC-750R Student Training Program closely enough to realize that you actually get this book with it...so that is on me. (Also, it would be nice to have that in this product's description.) However, since I home-school my nephew, and I know how he mangles books and looses things, I'll be keeping this copy instead of sending it back.

With that being said, this book works hand-in-hand very well with the project books for all of the kits. It is laid out in the same format as the project books, but it also has additional information regarding what is being learned by the student/child.

They should have called this book, "The Teacher/Student Guide". It is an amazing ad-on to the tutorial books. NOTE: Don't get the "Teacher Guide".

This item most certainly isn't *bad*. I do however think that it is slightly overpriced for what it is. It is about as thick as some of the other printed materials that come with the SC sets, and I actually think it just should have been included in the kit. Doing so wouldn't really have increased their costs any. Personally, I think the book "Getting started in Electronics" by Forrest M. Mimms III is a better choice for those that want (or Need) a guide and want to get know what they are putting together. I try to be as fair as I can in my Reviews. The kit itself is really wonderful (SC-700) and a unique learning tool.
