4.0 out of 5 stars Good
I like the notebook, especially how the cover is designed to be folded back so it won't mess up. The only thing I don't like is that the pages are not perforated.

3.0 out of 5 stars annoying book actually -.-
The labnotebook that folds from the side rather than the top is more useful. the carbon paper tears out easily. but not the original. Price is not that great, actually if you remove shipping it would cost 15, when it normally cost 19.99, shipping makes it 20. not worth it unless you really like using a binding from the top, even so, 100 pages plus carbon makes the...

This lab notebook is great, perfect for my Organic Chem lab reports; perfect size, affordable, easy to tear sheets, and alot of them to last a long time.

Works excellent, as promised. Little pricey though. I found one at a community college bookstore for half the price at a later date.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cost-effective, a bit difficult to handle, October 24, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Student Lab Notebook: 100 Top Bound duplicate pages (Paperback)
These lab notebooks are far less expensive than the ones sold at my university bookstore, and they accomplish the same function of making duplicates of everything entered into the lab notebook. However, the pages in front fold over the top to rest behind the rest of the notebook, and since these contain 100 pairs, the wad of paper you have to hold behind the notebook towards the end can be a bit bulky. However, this little hassle is worth it to me to save the money. The paper is good quality and I've never had any problems with these notebooks, though I've been using them for years. I would recommend them to friends.

Edit: I've noticed that other reviewers mention that the original copies don't tear out of the lab notebook. This is because original copies are *never* meant to be torn out of a lab notebook. Working in a research lab, original copies are crucial to the scientific record and are important evidence for publication and patenting. Therefore, although people might find it inconvenient that they can't rip out original pages easily, this is an important function of these lab notebooks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lab Notebook, September 21, 2011

I have used this book in my Biology class twice so far and I love it! One thing that my friends and I found is that you should really read the directins on the first page because if you don't you could mess up the whole book. The major two things is that u need to remember to use pen and to rip out the periodic table to put inbetween the sets of copies so that they don't bleed through. Its really a great tool for school!

exactly the same as the side bound one, but the plastic periodic table you put between pages rips out and is not attached to the book like the side bound one so i'm afraid i'll lose it.

5.0 out of 5 stars nice book, October 11, 2010

Good book for labs. Comes with a thick card stock-like page to insert between sets to prevent bleed through. Carbon pages are perforated making a clean and easy tear out for turning in pages to instructor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tearing out pages are difficult, April 28, 2010
This review is from: Student Lab Notebook: 100 Top Bound duplicate pages (Paperback)
Tearing out pages is a little bit difficult. It is okay but sometimes the top half inch gets torn. Other than that this is a great lab notebook.

4.0 out of 5 stars fine, December 31, 2008
This review is from: Student Lab Notebook: 100 Top Bound duplicate pages (Paperback)
Very useful. Be sure to put a periodic table under the copy paper or you will trasfer all your writing to ALL the pages. You dont have to press down hard and its a very organized piece of work. Problems: Its a flipbook (you lift the cover upwards, instead of opening it from the right) meaning it flips down constantly, losing your place. Its also hard to write on the inside cover and you cant fill in information thats on the top of each paper because of limited room. Overall, its fine and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
