Editorial Reviews

Review

"Too often teachers of leadership make the concept too idealistic, remote and inaccessible. Burchard has done something very special with The Student Leadership Guide. He has made leadership understandable, accessible, and thoroughly desirable. The six "Es" alone are worth the price of admission. It should be required reading for all students. -- Bill Treasurer "Executive leadership coach and author, Right Risk"

About the Author

Brendon Burchard is a prominent life coach, leadership speaker, and change management consultant. He wrote The Student Leadership Guide while still in graduate school at The University of Montana. The book is now in its third paperback edition and used in leadership programs at universities around the world. The success of the book motivated Brendon to create and host The College Success Bootcamp LIVE at Walt Disney World Resort, the nation’s premiere college readiness and student development seminar. (www.CollegeSuccessBootcamp.com). Because of his work with America’s youth, Brendon has been recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts on student success and he has appeared on radio and television shows nationwide. Often called "the student leader's leader," Brendon has an impressive track record of student and corporate leadership experience. In high school, he was Managing Editor for the nation’s #1 ranked student newspaper. In college, he supervised the toughest dorms on campus, conducted workshops on romantic relationships and communication, and chartered a peer-mediation program. In graduate school, he taught public speaking courses, worked as a peer counselor, and served as a commissioned facilitator and mediator for his university. He also maintained a 4.0 GPA. Brendon graduated from The University of Montana with a BA in political science and a MA in organizational communications—degrees he pursued in order to learn how to be a catalyst for positive and pervasive change after his own life was forever changed during a dramatic car accident in a third-world country. After graduate school, Brendon joined Accenture and spent five years helping Fortune 500 companies cope with and lead dramatic change. His clients included JCPenney, eBay, Best Buy, Nordstrom, Levi Strauss & Company, Walgreens, Gateway, and Federal Mogul. Brendon left Accenture to write his second book, Life’s Golden Ticket, an inspirational novel about second chances in life and love. Brendon lives in northern California but still calls Montana, where he grew up, home. To learn more about him or this book, visit www.TheStudentLeadershipGuide.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars You will Reap what you Sow, October 24, 2008
Brendon Burchard's Student Leadership Guide is an incredible resource. If I only had it when I was in school. The guide teaches a servant leadership approach that is almost dead in industry today. Brendon resurrects this powerful aspect that every successful leader has, including himself.

If you are a student get this copy today and implement what Brendon teaches you tomorrow.

If you are a parent or guidance counselor, get a couple of cases and give them away to your students.

If you sow with The Student Leadership Guide, you and your students will reap a thousand fold!

2.0 out of 5 stars not good, April 5, 2011

Well, as much as I liked The Millionaire Messanger, I dislike this book. I bought it because of the author, but I think he wrote this one first. I don't recommend it, too many words and not too much substance.
