This workbook is a good idea for people trying to learn the skills and techniques of public speaking on their own in conjunction with the textbook; however, this workbook didn't really do much for me while I was enrolled in a speech course & was using just the textbook. I was able to prepare my speeches without it just fine.

I used this book for an on-line public speaking class I took over this past summer and it was very easy to read and use for my class. The examples given in the text book and the links to the Connect Lucas website provided more examples to follow when preparing for my speeches. I will continue to use what I learned from this book and in this class in my daily speaking duties and when I do have to give a speech or a presentation.

Anyone planning to speak in public will benefit from reading this book as they prepare! I read this book in order to improve my public speaking skills, and I have found it to be consistently informative, helpful, clear, and inspirational. It is a great book to teach from. First, it is WELL WRITTEN. Next, it is organized well. Finally, the speeches it contains are great

Great book if this is what you are looking for. I didn't realize that this is not what I needed.

My college book store literally robs our grant money, so I purchase my books from Amazon. I have never bought a book that I was not happy with. With the money I save I feed my brain with healthier food. Thank you Amazon for making life easier! AND thank you sellers for making Amazon the place to go!

Waste of money. You can google half of the information given in the book - FOR FREE. Example: Informative speech ideas, Persuasive speech ideas, check list for a GREAT informative speech
