About the Author
Barbara Fine Clouse is a frequent conference presenter and seasoned writing instructor who has taught all levels of college composition, first at Youngstown State University in northeastern Ohio and then at Slippery Rock University in western Pennsylvania. In addition to this new edition of THE STUDENT WRITER: Editor and Critic, Barbara has written a number of composition texts for McGraw-Hill, including WRITING: FROM INNER TO OUTER WORLD, PATTERNS FOR A PURPOSE: A Rhetorical Reader, JUMPSTART! A Workbook for Writers WORKING IT OUT: A Troubleshooting Guide for Writers, a short prose reader for developmental students, which is avialable on Primis, McGraw's electronic database. I do not like writing or any of my English classes. But thanks to this book, I can now write winning essays. It shows you step by step how to organize writing ideas and put them together in a readable fashion. Keys for Writers is also a good supplement with this book.
