Great resource,

The Property professor recommended this book and it has been fantastic. The only way you'll ever learn future estates is by practicing. This workbook has brief descriptions, basic diagrams (they won't help everyone, but they're better than the ones in the Dukeminier casebook), and exercises with answers at the back.
The only weirdness is that the book has separate chapters on future interests before 1536 and after 1536. I guess if your professor cares about life before the Statute of Uses, then it's cool. I just skipped over that section. Also, I didn't spring for the newest edition of the workbook & I don't think that it hindered me (we'll find out in a few weeks!); since law school is already crazy-expensive, there's no need to go all out on study aids, especially when your school library has nutshells and hornbooks you can check out for free.

One of the biggest problems in law schools is the nebulous explanations in casebooks about estates in land and future interests. It is no surprise then that most law students, and practicing lawyers, still do not understand what these creations are. This reasonably-priced, green workbook demystifies this area in the law to where any person can understand it. It provides easy to understand, step-by-step explanations and examples. It even provides problem sets and solutions after every chapter. I recommend this as a supplement for any Property course where estates are taught.

Too bad the teacher required it for class. It is boring, simple, and generally makes you feel like a 5th grader filling in the blanks. Would have been better if just an online tutorial.
