In a positive fashion, readers are warned how excessive partying and other unwise time use can lead to academic or disciplinary problems. In clear terms, the book shows that the decisions a person makes in college can affect what happens in years to come. There is a careful explanation of the differences between a job and a career, and how education, ambition, goals, and experience relate to one another. The importance of mastering positive interpersonal skills is stressed, highlighting the value of networking. There are practical interviewing tips and great pointers on being a respected and effective leader.
