This book is a concise distillation of the enormous Chicago Style Manual. Recommended for graduate students--particularly those who must use multiple citation styles.

Confusion after Confusion,
By
This review is from: Student's Guide to Writing College Papers: Fourth Edition (Chicago Guides to Writing, Editing, and Publishing) (Paperback)
Turabian's style is not perfect and it cannot cover every single situation. There are many styles of writing papers, and it seems like Kate Turabian believes that her way is superior than other methods.
Her methods are also very confusing and frustrating. There are many styles of writing out there, so we actually do not need another one. The students should have freedom to choose which methods they would like to use, allowing the students to explore better methods after another. Turabian's style actually limits the students' ideas and potentials. |
