These are fantastic piercing studs. I've worn Studex piercing studs for years because I have such a terrible reaction to other earrings. Studex studs are designed for piercing, but they also work really well for those of us who are sensitive to the metals in other earrings.

Another reviewer said something about how the backs of the earrings are difficult to remove. Though that's very true, this is a design of the product. These earrings aren't meant to be taken out and put back in repeatedly; they're meant for longer-term wear. Most piercing salons will recommend that you keep your piercing studs in for a few weeks at minimum when you get new ear piercings, and that's what these studs are designed for. They just offer additional benefits for those of us with sensitive ears.

The nickel content in most earrings, including the nickel alloy in good quality 18k gold, severely irritates my ears after a few hours. I completely stopped wearing earrings for many years until I found these Studex earrings for sensitive ears at a Sally Beauty Supply store.

I've had the same three or four pairs for 20 years of constant wear, and they have never irritated my skin. I rarely take them off, so the secure earring back is a good selling point. Great product.

These are pretty and comfortable earrings, but there is one major problem I have with them: the backings are extremely difficult to get off of the actual earrings! My other pair of Studex piercing studs are much easier to separate the backings from the earring, but this pair is damn near impossible to do so...
