For those of us who sew, scrapbook, quilt, paint, rubber stamp, or any other art/craft/hobby, a craft room or area is a place where we spend lots of time so a book like this that offers so many ideas for a home studio that is both beautiful and practical is a real treat. It is a wonderful combination showing the reader real working studios of designers and artists, before and after craft room transformations, instructions for do-it-yourself storage projects, and wonderful photos throughout the book. I like that many of the projects are easy on the budget and effective for small spaces for those of us who may not have the resources or a whole room to devote to a dream studio, but at the same time there is plenty of inspiration for those who do.

I received a copy of this book for review from the publisher but the opinion of it is my own and was not solicited, nor was a positive review required.

This is a very nice photo album of some very nice studio spaces. HOWEVER, it doesn't indicate how to duplicate them, where to get materials, how to keep them looking that way, etc. Inspirational but requires research to duplicate.

I love to see any book regarding sewing studios and sewing organization. This is by far my favorite. There are so many styles represented here and lots of take-away ideas. I have been very pleased with the BHG books I have seen lately. My copy came from my local library. I did not want to return it but there was a waiting list for it. I'll be buying my own copy of this one from Amazon.

I also like the book Organizing Solutions for Every Quilter by Carolyn Woods. Lots of good ideas in that one as well.

A similar book that I just now received is Creative Studio by Cate Coulacos Prato. It also looks good and has studios in all different styles/hobbies/etc.
