good basic overview
I recently purchased this study guide, it breaks the chapters down into basics, I recommend it.

Not necessary
Bought this with the text book thinking it would give me an edge in the class. The questions are basic and do not fully cover the amount of information in the text book. It does have a brief summary of the chapter before the questions which is nice but, as I said, it barely covers the material in the text. I would not purchase this study guide again.

Good Book. But some important Chapters 13- 15 are missed as they say they cannot write about those topics as it would not suit the study guide format. I think that is a lame excuse. We always have questions directly related to Biochemical Tests used to identify various unknowns and specific Agar Medium based questions that are covered in those chapters. I am not sure why they omitted those.Overall good information and may be used for revision during exams.

I bought this study guide as a review for working in the medical microbiology lab again after over 20 years. I found it an excellent review of the pertinent material needed and great information about the new nomenclature. Definitely worth the investment.
