5.0 out of 5 stars How to Study the Bible, October 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: How to Study the Bible (Paperback)
I use this book for discipling some of the youth at my church. This book has a lot of good basic and not so basic information for young and old Christians alike. This book speaks not only on how to study the Bible but also why we should should study the Bible and the benefits of doing so. Each chapter has review questions to help improve retention. Even being raised in a
Bible believing church and family, I wish I had been taken through this book as a teenager. I believe that this book is a great way to help prepare students for doing their own personal Bible Study which is even more crucial as they get out on their own.

5.0 out of 5 stars A User Friendly Guide to Reading and Studying the Bible, September 6, 2011
The Bible is not confusing if read correctly. Like any other book, the Bible must be read in its context and using basic principles of interpretation. But how do we do this? In this short book (I read it in one day), Dr. John MacArthur teaches the reader how to properly read and study the Bible. He shows the importance of Bible reading and study and how to apply the Bible to our daily lives. The reader will find value in learning how to interpret the Scriptures and how to make sense of what we are reading by allowing the Bible to speak for itself. I do recommend this book if you are having a hard time reading and studying the Bible.
